Court supports tough Medicaid rules

WASHINGTON, Feb. 20 (UPI) -- The Supreme Court made it tougher Wednesday for the institutionalized elderly to get Medicaid when they have spouses living independently. In a 6-3 ruling, the justices upheld Wisconsin's interpretation of how a couple's income is evaluated.
