Scientist: monarch deaths a wake-up call

COLLEGE STATION, Texas, Feb. 14 (UPI) -- A Texas A&M University scientist said Thursday the deaths of millions of Monarch butterflies in Mexico during a recent winter storm should be a wake-up call. Dr. Bart Drees said the forests where the butterflies spend the winter each year are fragile and threatened by human encroachment.
