Campaign finance reformers optimistic

WASHINGTON, Feb. 13 (UPI) -- The House late Wednesday continued to block what campaign finance reformers call "poison pills" to scuttle the Shays-Meehan bill, fueling optimism the bill will pass. "It's looking good for an end to the unlimited political contributions that have corrupted our system and fueled Enron's collapse," Common Cause President Scott Harshbarger said.
