Indian casino seeks high court reprieve

EL PASO, Texas, Feb. 11 (UPI) -- Tigua Indian officials said they would peacefully close their $60-million-a-year gambling casino Monday if the Supreme Court fails to intervene in their dispute with Texas. The 1,250-member tribe has been battling the state of Texas over the casino operation for eight years.
