Davis: Talks with Lay were a bust

LOS ANGELES, Feb. 2 (UPI) -- Gov. Gray Davis had repeated discussions with Enron's Ken Lay during last winter's California electricity crisis, however the governor told the Los Angeles Times the advice he received was disappointing at best. Davis said Lay was primarily interested in extracting as much money as possible from the state.
