New York City faces water shortage

NEW YORK, Jan. 27 (UPI) -- New Yorkers must conserve water or face possible shortages brought on by this winter's unusually hot and dry weather, Mayor Michael Bloomberg said. At a news conference Sunday, Bloomberg said the city's efforts over the past 20 years to reduce the amount of water it uses has worked, but "unfortunately, it's just not enough."
