Wendy's founder Dave Thomas dies

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., Jan. 8 (UPI) -- Wendy's founder Dave Thomas, a star of the hamburger chain's commercials, died Tuesday at his home in Fort Lauderdale at the age of 69. The cause of death was not disclosed but he had been treated in recent years for kidney and heart ailments.
