Shoe-bomb suspect could face more charges

BOSTON, Dec. 27 (UPI) -- Suspected Islamic terrorist Richard Reid, accused of trying to set off shoe bombs aboard an American Airlines trans-Atlantic flight, could face more serious charges when brought to federal court in Boston on Friday for a detention hearing. Despite reports Thursday Reid was seen at al Qaida terror training camps in Afghanistan, his court-appointed lawyers said they knew of no such evidence.
