Accountant calls Enron collapse 'tragic'

WASHINGTON, Dec. 12 (UPI) -- The top official at the firm responsible for monitoring troubled energy giant Enron's finances testified the abrupt collapse was a "tragedy." Arthur Andersen Chief Executive Officer Joseph Berardino told a House committee that accountant firms will have to change their techniques to ensure investors get correct information on company earnings.
