Christmas tree lit at World Trade Center

NEW YORK, Dec. 8 (UPI) -- A 30-foot Christmas tree with special ornaments that commemorated the more than 3,000 victims of the terrorist attacks in New York was lit Friday at the 16-acre site where the World Trade Center once stood. New York City Mayor Rudolph Giuliani told the crowd to show that they could both absorb tragedy and embrace the beautiful.
