Nov. 27, 2001 at 1:09 PM

PORTLAND, Ore., Nov. 27 (UPI) -- A compromise has been reached that will allow Portland police to help the FBI question dozens of Middle Eastern men in the city about their possible ties to terrorists. The Oregonian newspaper reported Tuesday that federal authorities have narrowed the list of questions so that they conform more to state laws.
