NTSB says airplane data recorder found

NEW YORK, Nov. 12 (UPI) -- National Transportation Safety Board Chairwoman Marion Blakey on Monday said investigators found the flight-data recorder from American Airlines Flight 587, which crashed around 9:17 a.m. in a residential neighborhood of Queens. Blakey said debris was scattered over a wide area, and some major parts of the plane were found in nearby Jamaica Bay.
