Giuliani named honorary knight

NEW YORK, Oct. 15 (UPI) -- Prince Andrew, the duke of York, formally announced Monday that New York Mayor Rudolph Giuliani has been named an honorary Knight Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire by Queen Elizabeth for "his outstanding help and support to the British families in New York" after the attacks on the World Trade Center Sept. 11. The city's fire and police commissioners have been named Commanders of the same order.
