Caroline Wozniacki is certainly making herself at home in Miami this week.

The part-time Miami resident recovered from a poor first set to post a 5-7, 6-1, 6-1 victory over second-seeded Karolina Pliskova of the Czech Republic on Thursday to reach the finals of the Miami Open.

It will mark the first time that the 12th-seeded Wozniacki will play in the Miami Open title match. She will face either 10th-seeded Brit Johanna Konta or 11th-seeded American Venus Williams on Saturday. Konta and Williams play Thursday night.

"It is extremely special," Wozniacki said in her postmatch interview. "Having a place here, training here in the offseason, playing at home events, it is my homecourt. It is special to be in my first finals here. I'm extremely excited."

It wasn't looking good for the Denmark native when Pliskova outlasted her in the opening set. But she recovered and committed just nine unforced errors over the final two sets.

"It was definitely a mental grind," Wozniacki said. "Having two or three set points in that first set, it is kind of depressing when you are out there. But I got a good start to the second set and that definitely got me fired up and I just kept playing."

This mark's Wozniacki's third final appearance this year. She lost the first two.
