BEERSHEBA, Israel, Oct. 5 (UPI) -- John Ogu gained a victory and a fiancée Saturday after Hapoel Beer Sheva's win over Maccabie Peta Tikva.
Following the 5-2 win, Ogu went down on one knee in front of his team. His girlfriend then walked up and smiled before saying "yes" to Ogu's important question.
After the game, the midfielder walks onto the field with his fiancée, Chiugo as the stadium dims its lights. A short video then streams on the jumbotron with the words "Will you marry me?" largely displayed.
Chiugo is a blogger, entrepreneur and a novelist. She is a graduate of the University of Alberta, Canada, according to Goal.com.
