BUFFALO, N.Y., July 15 (UPI) -- After Karlos Williams' suspension, the Buffalo Bills are suddenly running back needy.

Enter: Reggie Bush.

CBS NFL Insider Jason La Canfora tweeted Friday that he "would be very surprised if the Bills don't reach out to Reggie Bush in light of the Karlos Williams suspension." La Canfora added that he would "anticipate some interest."

Bush, 31, played just five games for the San Francisco 49ers last season, amassing 47 total yards on offense. He could get snaps in a third-down role behind LeSean McCoy in Buffalo.

Last month, he told SiriusXM NFL Radio that he has heard from two teams this offseason. Earlier this week, New Orleans Saints coach Sean Payton told Nola.com that it was not likely his team would reunite with the running back.

Bush has eclipsed 1,000 rushing yards just twice in 10 pro seasons. He has 57 career touchdowns as a runner, receiver, and returner. Bush used this offseason to recover from a torn meniscus.
