Dallas Cowboys at crossroads with All-Pro contracts

By Alex Butler

DALLAS, Jan. 16 (UPI) -- After a disappointing ending to a spectacular season, the Dallas Cowboys are confronted with some major personnel decisions.

This year those decisions don't involve hiring a new head coach, after owner Jerry Jones signed Jason Garrett to a 5-year, $30 contract extension earlier this week, according to the team website.

Now Jones must worry about signing All-Pro weapons in wide receiver Dez Bryant and running back DeMarco Murray. Jones said "it probably doesn't look reasonable" to sign both players, according to NFL.com. The same website reported that Murray currently has an offer of more than $4 million a year, currently on the table.

Jones has previously said the Cowboys will use the franchise tag on Bryant if the two parties can't agree on a long-term deal.

Jones was named the 2014 NFL Executive of the Year Thursday by the Pro Football Writers Association. The Cowboys finished 12-4 to win the NFC East and won their first playoff game since 2009.

This season Bryant led the NFL with 16 receiving touchdowns while Murray led the NFL with 1,845 rushing yards.
