Dec. 6 (UPI) -- Buffalo Bills star LeSean McCoy is my top fantasy football running back for Week 14.

New Orleans Saints rookie Alvin Kamara, Todd Gurley, Le'Veon Bell and Leonard Fournette are also in my top-five at the position for the first week of the fantasy football playoffs.

If you don't own a superstar at the position, you need to play the option with the best matchup and a player with upward trending stock.

Read the descriptions below for some of my favorite running backs from Week 14. Here are my Top 30 options at the position this week.

FULL TOP 30 WEEK 14 RANKINGS BELOW

TOP SHELF

LeSean McCoy is my No. 1 running back for Week 14. The Buffalo Bills star is going up against the Indianapolis Colts, a unit allowing the fifth-most fantasy points per game and fourth-most rushing touchdowns to opposing running backs. Shady had 102 yards from scrimmage in Week 13 and looks ready for a dominant stretch run.

Houston Texans running back Lamar Miller comes in as my No. 9 option for Week 14. The Texans are facing the San Francisco 49ers, a unit allowing the third-most fantasy points per game and fifth-most rushing yards to opposing running backs. Miller is usable as an RB1 in this matchup.

SNEAKY PLAYS

Miami Dolphins running back Kenyan Drake is an example of a player trending up at exactly the right time. Drake had a career-best 120 rushing yards and a touchdown in Week 13. He has scored in three of his last four games. This week he faces a New England Patriots unit ranked in the middle of the league when it comes to defending running backs. Drake will get plenty of work in this one, as the Dolphins will need a strong running game to limit Tom Brady's opportunities. He is a low-end RB1 and ranked as my No. 10 option for Week 14.

Alfred Morris and the Dallas Cowboys face the New York Giants in Week 14. The Giants have allowed a league-high 1,355 rushing yards to opposing running backs. New York is also allowing the seventh-most fantasy points per game to the position. Morris is another player trending up, as he had 127 yards and a score on 27 carries in Week 14. This also is likely the last time you can use him this season, as Ezekiel Elliott returns from his suspension in Week 15. Morris is my No. 13 option this week and can be used as a low-end RB1 or a high-end RB2 in shallow leagues.

LONGSHOTS

Cleveland Browns running back Isaiah Crowell had a setback against the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 13, but has two games with at least 90 rushing yards in his last four starts. He is a trustworthy RB2 in Week 14 against a Green Bay Packers unit tied for allowing the ninth-most fantasy points per game to opposing running backs. Crowell is ranked No. 20 for me this week.

Week 14 Running Back Rankings

New England Patriots running back Rex Burkhead isn't a terrible start in Week 14. He should be on your RB2 and flex radar with a matchup against the Miami Dolphins. The Dolphins have allowed the seventh-most rushing yards and are tied with the Packers for allowing the ninth-most fantasy points per game to the position. Burkhead has four touchdowns in his last two games. He has also been active as a receiver. He comes in as my No. 25 option.
