Bridgewater, 24, made his first Pro Bowl in 2015 after being selected by the Vikings with the No. 32 overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft. The Louisville product completed 292-of-447 passes for 3,231 yards, 14 scores and nine interceptions that season while leading the Vikings to an 11-5 record and NFC North division crown.

Bridgewater missed the entire 2016 season after completely tearing his ACL and dislocating his patella in practice.

Wednesday was the deadline for the Vikings to decide if Bridgewater would play this season. He was on the physically unable to perform list for the first six weeks of the season but was cleared to return to practice on Oct. 18.

Bradford, 30, will miss the rest of the season, but could return for the playoffs. He suffered a left knee injury in the Vikings' 29-19 win in Week 1 against the New Orleans Saints. The former St. Louis Rams quarterback was traded from the Philadelphia Eagles to the Vikings on Aug. 30, 2016. Bradford completed 74.4 percent of his throws for 382 yards, three scores and zero interceptions in two games this season. He led the league, completing 71.6 percent of his passes in 2016.
