Oct. 17 (UPI) -- Atlanta Falcons star Julio Jones stands atop our top 50 fantasy football receivers for Week 7.

Target monster DeAndre Hopkins and the Detroit Lions wide receivers are resting with byes this weekend. Although not as many wide receivers are out because of bye weeks, there are still plenty of tough choices you will need to make at the position.

Even if you don't need to start someone right now, it might be worth it to pick a pass catcher off of your waiver wire or in free agency to keep him away from your opponent.

Feel free to take a look at my top pickups and drops article for Week 7.

Here are my Top 50 options at the position this week.

TOP 50 WEEK 7 RANKINGS BELOW

TOP SHELF

Atlanta Falcons superstar Julio Jones is my No. 1 wide receiver for Week 7. Jones is going up against the New England Patriots on Sunday, a team that was just carved up by New York Jets quarterback Josh McCown. I'm expecting a big bounce-back game here from the Falcons and Jones should lead the pack against this very generous defense. The Patriots are allowing the third-most fantasy points per game and have allowed the most receiving yards to opposing wide receivers this season. Jones should get his first score of the season in Foxborough.

Oakland Raiders wide receiver Michael Crabtree is my No. 6 option for Week 7 with a matchup against the Raiders' AFC West rivals, the Kansas City Chiefs. This season the Chiefs are allowing the second-most fantasy points per game and have allowed a league-high 10 scores to opposing wide receivers. Crabtree leads the Raiders with five scores this season and has scored in consecutive games entering the Week 7 bout. He also has at least six receptions in four out of five games this season.

SNEAKY PLAYS

Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant could see a huge Week 7 fantasy point total against the San Francisco 49ers. The 49ers are one of seven NFL teams that have given up at least 1,000 yards to opposing wide receivers. Bryant has also scored in three of his last four starts. The Cowboys could also lean on the passing game if running back Ezekiel Elliott is ruled ineligible for the contest. Dez is a WR1, per usual, and my No. 9 option for Week 7.

Yes, Aaron Rodgers is likely out for the season, but I don't think Davante Adams sees as big of a hit to his value as Jordy Nelson. Adams is a borderline WR1 in deeper leagues this week and a WR2 in more shallow formats. Adams is tied for the second-most touchdowns for a wide receiver this season (5) behind Nelson and DeAndre Hopkins, but he has 11 more targets than Nelson. The Green Bay Packers are facing the New Orleans Saints on Sunday. The Saints are tied with the Philadelphia Eagles for allowing the fifth-most fantasy points per game to opposing wide receivers.

LONGSHOTS

Los Angeles Rams wide out Sammy Watkins has been very inconsistent this season, but you could do worse as a bye-week fill-in. Watkins comes in at No. 17 for me this week with a matchup against the Arizona Cardinals, a defense allowing the third-most fantasy points per game to opposing wide receivers. The Cardinals are also tied with the Tennessee Titans and Los Angeles Chargers for allowing nine scores to the position this season, the second-most in the NFL.

Marqise Lee and the Jacksonville Jaguars face the Indianapolis Colts in Week 7. Lee is my No. 34 option, making him a WR3 in most formats. The Colts have allowed the second-most receiving yards to the position and Lee is coming off of his best game of the season. I like his chances in this AFC South bout.
