NFL: Oakland Raiders ink first-rounder Gareon Conley

By The Sports Xchange

Oakland Raiders rookie cornerback Gareon Conley agreed to terms on his rookie contract, multiple outlets reported Friday.

Conley, who was chosen with the 24th overall pick, is the penultimate first-round selection to agree to terms. Tennessee Titans wide receiver Corey Davis remains the lone unsigned first-round pick.

Conley's agreement comes amid an ongoing investigation by Cleveland police into a rape accusation made against him in April. The 22-year-old has denied the accusation and has not been charged or arrested.

According to the police report, the alleged incident took place at the Westin Downtown in Cleveland around 3 a.m. ET on April 9. The victim told police Conley raped her in a room at the hotel. Conley was not at the hotel when police arrived.

Kevin Spellacy, Conley's attorney, vehemently denied the allegations to WOIO-TV in Cleveland.

Conley is not subject to NFL discipline since the incident in question stems from an incident that occurred prior to the draft.
