CBS sports producer Lance Barrow talked to a crowd Monday at the Ben Hogan Award Ceremony at Colonial Country Club in Fort Worth, Texas.

He said the network has high aspirations for the former Dallas Cowboys star. He also revealed the details for Romo's debut in the booth.

"I think he is going to be great. I think we have the next John Madden on our hands," Barrow said, according to a video posted by the Ben Hogan Award Twitter account.

Romo, an avid golfer, is set to call the Dean & DeLuca Invitational this weekend at the Colonial Country Club. Barrow begins talking about Romo at about the 11:20 mark of the video.

"It will be the first time he will wear a blazer and he will be introduced as our newest addition to CBS Sports," Barrow announced.

The Dean & DeLuca Invitational is a PGA Tour event. Jordan Spieth is currently the favorite to win the tournament, according to PGA Tour.com's power rankings. Spieth won the tournament at 17-under par in 2016.

Nantz and Nick Faldo will join Romo on the 18th green for his broadcasting debut. The tournament tees off at 7 a.m. on Thursday. It airs on CBS from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, according to the PGA Tour TV schedule.
