The Oakland Raiders finalized the purchase of 62 acres near the Las Vegas strip that will be the site of the stadium to be built in time for the 2020 NFL season, multiple media outlets reported Monday. Clark County Commissioner Steve Sisolak announced that the NFL and the Raiders closed escrow on the proposed site for the $1.9 billion stadium that will house the Raiders when they move to Las Vegas.

The Clark County Recorder's Office listed the purchase price of the land, which is located near the Mandalay Bay resort, as $77.5 million. The Las Vegas Sun reported the original asking price for the tract was $100 million.
The land, which is west of Interstate 15, includes four parcels between Russell Road and Hacienda Avenue and between Polaris Avenue and Dean Martin Drive.
The league gave Raiders owner Mark Davis approval in March to move the Raiders to Las Vegas. The team will play in Oakland for the 2017 season, and it is unclear where the team will play in 2018 and 2019.
