The Carolina Panthers re-signed unrestricted free agent cornerback Teddy Williams to a one-year contract on Monday.

Williams, 28, played in three games in 2016 before finishing the season on injured reserve with a knee injury. He recorded seven tackles, one pass defense and one interception. Williams joined the Panthers in 2015 and contributed 10 special teams tackles that season.

The 6-foot-1, 210-pound Williams entered the NFL as an undrafted rookie free agent with Dallas in 2010 and spent time with the Cowboys (2010-11), Indianapolis Colts (2012), Arizona Cardinals (2013), Chicago Bears (2014) and Jacksonville Jaguars (2014) before arriving in Carolina.
