March 6 (UPI) -- Offensive lineman Mickey Marvin, who won two Super Bowls as a member of the Oakland Raiders, died Sunday following a lengthy battle with ALS. He was 61.
Marvin spent 11 seasons with the Raiders, who selected him in the fourth round of the 1977 draft after a standout career at the University of Tennessee.
Marvin appeared in 120 games, starting 108, and was a starter at right guard for the Oakland teams that won championships in Super Bowl XV and Super Bowl XVIII.
At Tennessee, Marvin earned All-Southeastern Conference first-team honors in back-to-back seasons (1974-76). He was named a second-team All-American by UPI in 1975.
