Free agency, draft shopping list

As they wade through free agency and prepare to evaluate draft prospects at the Indianapolis Scouting Combine (March 1-6), the Houston Texans must decide which players to keep as they seek to improve upon their 7-9 record from last season.

The Sports Xchange and NFLDraftScout.com evaluated the Texans' roster and created a shopping list to use in free agency and to reference during the Combine.

The Texans thought they solved their quarterback dilemma with the signing of Brock Osweiler one year ago in the offseason. Now, they aren't so sure. Head coach Bill O'Brien has to figure out if Osweiler simply experienced growing pains in the first year of a new system or whether he is not the answer.

The defense remained strong even with defense end J.J. Watt missing most of the season. Trying to re-sign cornerback A.J. Bouye is also a priority.

INDIANAPOLIS COLTS

==================

Free agency, draft shopping list

As they wade through free agency and prepare to evaluate draft prospects at the Indianapolis Scouting Combine (March 1-6), the Indianapolis Colts must decide which players to keep as they seek to improve upon their 8-8 record from last season.

The Sports Xchange and NFLDraftScout.com evaluated the Colts' roster and created a shopping list to use in free agency and to reference during the Combine.

There is new leadership with general manager Chris Ballard replacing Ryan Grigson, though Chuck Pagano remains the head coach. Ballard will be charged with forging a working relationship with Pagano while finding the talent to lift the Colts from two consecutive .500 seasons.

With outside linebacker Robert Mathis retiring, the pass rush has to be addressed, along with the secondary. Another question is how long running back Frank Gore can continue playing at a high level.

JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS

====================

Free agency, draft shopping list

As they wade through free agency and prepare to evaluate draft prospects at the Indianapolis Scouting Combine (March 1-6), the Jacksonville Jaguars must decide which players to keep as they seek to improve upon their 3-13 record from last season.

The Sports Xchange and NFLDraftScout.com evaluated the Jaguars' roster and created a shopping list to use in free agency and to reference during the Combine.

The Jaguars were active in the week before the Combine, agreeing to trades involving tackle Branden Albert and tight end Julius Thomas. Both deals won't be official until the March 9 start of the league year, but Albert will arrive from Miami to be the left tackle after the Jaguars opted not to exercise the option in tackle Kelvin Beachum's contract. Thomas, who was making too much money for his lack of production and number of injuries, will head to the Dolphins.

The offseason will be spent trying to get quarterback Blake Bortles right as well as upgrading the pass rush.

TENNESSEE TITANS

================

Free agency, draft shopping list

As they wade through free agency and prepare to evaluate draft prospects at the Indianapolis Scouting Combine (March 1-6), the Tennessee Titans must decide which players to keep as they seek to improve upon their 9-7 record from last season.

The Sports Xchange and NFLDraftScout.com evaluated the Titans' roster and created a shopping list to use in free agency and to reference during the Combine.

The Titans are on the rise, and they have the luxury of owning the Rams' first-round pick (fifth overall) in the April draft. The passing offense needs help, so expect a move to upgrade the receiving corps.

The pass defense also will be a priority, with cornerbacks high on the wish list.
