Feb. 20 (UPI) -- 'Orange Julius', meet 'Juice.' The first deal struck between the Miami Dolphins and Jacksonville Jaguars Monday was surprising in that it didn't include tight end Julius Thomas.
Miami moved left tackle Branden Albert Monday afternoon in exchange for a conditional late round 2018 draft pick from the Jacksonville Jaguars, according to the Miami Herald. Later in the day, the Dolphins picked up Thomas for another late round pick, according to multiple reports.
Thomas will lineup in the same offense as Jarvis 'Juice' Landry, giving Ryan Tannehill quite the beverage selection.
The trade won't be official until March 9, the first day of the new league year. Thomas played for the Denver Broncos when current Dolphins coach Adam Gase served as the Broncos' offensive coordinator.
The two-time Pro Bowl selection is in the third year of a five-year, $46 million contract and is due $8 million next season.
