Jan. 23 (UPI) -- One of the NFL's worst secondary units is undergoing an offseason overhaul.

After releasing Perrish Cox in November, the Tennessee Titans could cut bait with Jason McCourty.

The cornerback tandem had a hand in allowing the most passing yards in the AFC this season. McCourty ended his 2016 campaign with a shoulder injury. He is due $7 million next season and will "fight to retain his starting spot if he is not released as a cap cut," according to Titan Insider.

The Seattle Seahawks signed Cox last week.

McCourty, 29, has 13 interceptions and 410 tackles in 108 career games. He had two interceptions, a fumble recovery, and 59 tackles this season.
