A New England Patriots fan pleaded not guilty on Monday to pulling a fire alarm at the Pittsburgh Steelers' team hotel 15 hours before Sunday night's AFC Championship Game.

Dennis Harrison, 25, of East Boston was released on personal recognizance at his arraignment in East Boston Municipal Court on charges of disorderly conduct, disturbing the peace and setting off a false fire alarm.

Massachusetts State Police said Harrison pulled the alarm at the Logan Airport Hilton about 3:40 a.m. ET Sunday. When firefighters arrived, they determined it was a false alarm.

None of the Steelers players or coaches had to evacuate their rooms after the alarms went off around.

Harrison allegedly pulled a fire alarm on a dare, according to police. He fled the scene but was found by the state police walking on hotel property. He was not a guest at the hotel.

Lawyer Francisco Napolitano said Harrison played high school football and his client is embarrassed.

"What stands out in the police report is an allegation of alcohol use," Napolitano said, via the Boston Globe. "There are also allegations that there were some statements made by this gentleman and the question that becomes pretty obvious: Was he in any condition to make statements?"

The Patriots defeated the Steelers 36-17 to advance to Super Bowl LI in Houston on Feb. 5 against the Atlanta Falcons.
