Jan. 22 (UPI) -- Carolina Panthers defensive end Charles Johnson could just be bitter that his team is sitting on the couch this weekend, watching an NFC South foe in the NFC Championship.
He's taking it out on wrestling legend Ric Flair.
On Thursday, Flair posted a video while sporting Atlanta Falcons gear.
"We didn't want Dallas, we wanted Aaron Rodgers," Flair said. "The best they said."

Flair, 67, went on to pledge his allegiance to the Falcons. The rant didn't take well for Johnson.
This dude Ric Flair is the ultimate groupie #factsornaw

In 2013, the Panthers started using Flair's token "Wooo" chant after its wins. Flair lived in Charlotte when he first earned his wrestling fame. He later moved to Atlanta in 2013 after dealing with legal issues, including an outstanding arrest warrant.
Charles, sorry I can't get back to you at the moment because I am busy with the Falcons who if you didn't know are in the playoffs...WOOOOO! https://t.co/hiU4AKaDKh

Those legal issues stemmed from Flair, officially named Richard Fliehr, being on contempt of court violations. The 2014 court order called for Flair to pay $32,352.51 in "unpaid post-separation support and legal fees," according to the Charlotte Business Journal.

After the 2013 season, he opted to ditch the Panthers' playoff game to give the San Francisco 49ers a pep talk before it took on the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field.
By the way, Panther gang can come watch the game with me tomorrow. They shouldn't be too busy :) https://t.co/8lMIOTsB1Z

Former Panthers wide receiver Steve Smith did not take kindly to the abandonment.

"As a guy who actually has a Ric Flair robe I'm real disappointed in seeing that," Smith told the Charlotte Observer. "Real disappointed. I'm not sure if he'll [Flair] get the invite here. That Golden Gate Bridge has been burned."

On Friday, Johnson called Flair out.
"This dude Ric Flair is the ultimate groupie #factsornaw," Johnson tweeted.
"Charles, sorry I can't get back to you at the moment because I am busy with the Falcons who if you didn't know are in the playoffs...WOOOOO," Flair responded.
"Panther gang done @ him so much he had to respond. Sorry buddy ur still a groupie and clown in a costume #IwasaStingfananyways," Johnson said.
Johnson, 30, is a free agent this offseason. He had 26 tackles, four sacks, and three forced fumbles this season.
"By the way, Panther gang can come watch the game with me tomorrow. They shouldn't be too busy :)," Flair responded.
Flair made news earlier this month when he posted a video of himself performing a 400-pound deadlift.
"It's cool we will watch from work," Johnson said. Hala at me if u need a JOB, I probably pay more than them teams you hop around to #igottimetoday."
Flair is a 16-time World Heavyweight Champion. Flair won the Wisconsin private school wrestling championship in 1966 and 1968. He was recruited on a football scholarship to the University of Minnesota before dropping out in favor of a career in entertainment.
