Pittsburgh Steelers' Ladarius Green still in concussion protocol

By Alex Butler

Jan. 17 (UPI) -- Ben Roethlisberger will need every weapon he can get against the NFL's stingiest defense.

But one of those weapons, tight end Ladarius Green, is still shelved this week. The Steelers travel to Foxborough for a 6:40 p.m. kickoff against the New England Patriots Sunday in the AFC Championship at Gillette Stadium.

Green, 26, exited the Steelers' Week 15 win against the Cincinnati Bengals with a concussion after taking a huge hit to the head from George Iloka. He hasn't played since.

On Tuesday, Steelers coach Mike Tomlin told reporters that Green was still in the concussion protocol.

Green had 304 yards and one touchdown on 18 receptions this season. Jesse James had five receptions for 83 yards from the tight end slot in the Steelers' divisional round win against the Kansas City Chiefs.
