The Baltimore Ravens placed cornerback Jimmy Smith on injured reserve Friday.

Rookie wide receiver Keenan Reynolds was promoted from the practice squad to the active roster to take the spot of Smith. The 28-year-old Smith will miss his third straight game on Sunday after sustaining a right ankle sprain in a 30-23 loss at the New England Patriots on Dec. 12.

Smith has recorded 32 tackles in 11 games this season and 221 in 74 career contests since being selected with the 27th overall pick of the 2011 draft.

Reynolds posted an NCAA Division I record 88 career touchdowns while playing quarterback for Navy prior to being selected in the sixth round of the 2016 draft.

He was waived at the end of the preseason by the Ravens (8-7), who will host the Cincinnati Bengals (5-9-1) in the season finale on Sunday (1 p.m. ET).
