PHILADELPHIA -- Philadelphia Eagles long snapper Jon Dorenbos left Sunday's game against the Washington Redskins with a wrist injury.

The injury resulted in dire consequences for the Eagles when his replacement, tight end Brent Celek, had an errant snap on a botched field-goal attempt.

Dorenbos has played in 162 consecutive game with the Eagles, tying the club record set by wide receiver Harold Carmichael from 1972-83.

Eagles running back and returner Darren Sproles was injured when he was hit illegally by Deshazor Everett while attempting to field a punt in the fourth quarter.

Everett's helmet-to-helmet hit angered several Eagles players and both teams exchanged angry words before order was restored. Sproles was helped to the locker room, where he was diagnosed with a head injury, while Everett was flagged for a 15-yard penalty.

Redskins middle linebacker Will Compton injured a knee in the third quarter and was ruled out for the rest of the game. He was replaced by Martrell Spaight.
