Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Julio Jones suffered a turf toe injury in Sunday's loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.

Coach Dan Quinn said Monday that the All-Pro receiver was injured in the final moments of Sunday's 29-28 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs that dropped the Falcons to 7-5.

"Hopefully, he's on a shorter-term (timetable),'' Quinn said of Jones' injury. "We'll get a chance to see what he looks like Wednesday. Jones, who has dealt with a series of injuries this season, missed some time in the late moments of Sunday's game. He appeared to favor his left foot while getting medical attention.

"We don't think it's to that level in terms of where it could linger. Until we get back out -- he's going through the treatment today and tomorrow -- until we get into Wednesday, then we'll have a better feel. But we don't think of it as a long-term one for him on this case.''

Jones, 27, has not missed a game this season despite dealing with various injuries. He leads the NFL with 1,253 receiving yards on 72 catches, and has five touchdowns.

"It's football,'' Jones said Sunday after the game. "You're going to get banged up. You're going to get little nagging injuries here and there from the game. I'm OK. I'll be good to go.''

Left tackle Jake Matthews (knee sprain) and No. 2 receiver Mohamed Sanu (groin) also were injured in Sunday's game. Both will be held out of Wednesday's practice and re-evaluated Thursday, Quinn said.
