EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J., Nov. 30 (UPI) -- "Revis Island" might be deserted sooner than you think.

New York Jets All-Pro cornerback Darrelle Revis looks like he is done playing in the NFL, according to New York Daily News' Manish Mehta.

"He's done," a Revis confidant told the New York Daily News. "If he had his way, he'd be done right now. He doesn't want to play anymore. He's made a lot of money."

Revis, 31, is in the third year of a five-year, $70 million contract. He has obviously slowed this season, getting torched by opposing wide receivers on a weekly basis. Revis has cashed in nearly $125 million in career earnings.

In November, ESPN Jets reporter Rich Cimini suggested that the Jets might cut Revis after this season.

"He got old fast, and his salary is prohibitive," Cimini wrote. "They could ask him to take a pay cut, but this goes beyond money. The organization has concerns about whether he still can be an effective press-man corner."

Last month, Revis told the Daily News' Gary Myers that he is "old."

"Because I'm old," Revis told the Daily News, when asked why he isn't playing up to his previous standards.

Revis has 43 tackles and has two passes defended this season. He has yet to make an interception. He had 39 tackles, nine passes defended, and five interceptions last season. His 28 career picks rank ninth on the all-time interceptions list for active players.

Revis has one Super Bowl ring, four first-team All-Pro selections, and seven Pro Bowl selections in nine seasons prior to 2016.
