Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott insists he's ready for any foe, whether it be Dallas' next opponent or even the dreaded "rookie wall" that has tripped up many promising players.

Elliott leads all rushers with 891 yards and is averaging a league-best 22.1 rushes per contest for the Cowboys (7-1), who carry a seven-game winning streak into Heinz Field on Sunday to face the Pittsburgh Steelers (4-4).

Dallas hasn't been shy about leaning on Elliott since selecting him with the fourth overall pick of the 2016 draft. For his part, Elliott insists he's not ready to slow down.

"I feel good," Elliott said, via the Dallas Morning News. "I've been taking good care of my body. I feel fresh and just trying to stay on this routine to make sure I stay fresh. I'm not really worried about a rookie wall."

Elliott's rushing total is the third-most by a rookie through eight games, trailing only Minnesota Vikings star Adrian Peterson (1,036) and retired Los Angeles Rams stud Eric Dickerson (995).

Elliott has 193 offensive touches this season, putting him on pace for 386 -- the most by a rookie since San Diego Chargers running back LaDainian Tomlinson (389) in 2001.
