CHICAGO, Oct. 24 (UPI) -- If you read between the lines, the Chicago Bears could have hinted at Jeremy Langford's return Monday.

The Bears released veteran running back Joique Bell, which could mean Langford's return from an ankle injury could come sooner than later.

Langford has missed the Bears' last four games with a high ankle sprain. The Bears signed Bell on Sept. 27.

Bell, 30, had just six yards on three carries for the Bears. Langford had 116 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 31 carries before suffering the ankle injury.
