GREEN BAY, Wis., Oct. 10 (UPI) -- You know your season isn't off to a great start when you have more chemistry with a kicking net than your quarterback.

New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. made amends with a sideline kicking net Sunday night at Lambeau Field after scoring his first touchdown of the season. The Green Bay Packers beat the Giants 23-16. During the Giants' 29-27 loss on Sept. 25 to the Washington Redskins, Beckham was visibility shaken. He cried on the sidelines and eventually punched a kicking net, which rebounded and smacked him in the face.

On Sunday night, he made a brilliant leap for a score in the back of the end zone. He later walked to the sideline with open arms, grabbing the Giants' kicking net while embracing it and kissing it softly.

Beckham now has 359 yards and a touchdown on 27 receptions this season. Through five games last season, he had 428 yards and three touchdowns on 31 receptions.
