DETROIT, Sept. 27 (UPI) -- Detroit Lions rookie Dwayne Washington could still be on your fantasy football league's waiver wire.

Go pick him up.

The running back is ready for a bigger workload on an explosive offense. "Don't be surprised if that starts Sunday against the Bears," ESPN's Michael Rothstein reported Tuesday.

Although Washington could still split the workload with Theo Riddick, Rothstein speculated Washington "might end up being Detroit's starting running back."

Washington had 38 yards on 10 carries in the Lions' Week 3 loss to the Green Bay Packers. Two weeks ago, Lions coach Jim Caldwell said that Washington would have a bigger role after Ameer Abdullah suffered a season-ending foot injury.

"He was productive obviously on the carries that he had and I think he's coming along," Lions coach Jim Caldwell told the Detroit Free Press. "I think without question he's certainly capable of giving us some unique production in his way because he's a little different type of back. But I think he'll be alright."

Washington is a must-add in all formats. Although he doesn't have the ceiling of Abdullah or Riddick, he could be a useful as an RB2 down the road and is certainly a capable bye-week fill-in for an RB2 in large leagues.

The seventh-rounder rushed for 1,311 yards and 17 touchdowns on 226 college carries at Washington.
