BUFFALO, N.Y., Sept. 27 (UPI) -- There is no structural damage to Sammy Watkins' injured foot, but he plans to test out his pain tolerance on Wednesday or Thursday.

Watkins has six receptions for 63 yards and hasn't scored in two contests this season. He sat out the Buffalo Bills' Week 3 win against the Arizona Cardinals.

"The plan this week is either on Wednesday or Thursday, he's going to get out there and he's going to give it a test," NFL Network reporter Mike Garafolo reported. "He's going to see how he feels. That is really going to determine whether he is going to be available this weekend. As far as the foot is concerned, they continue to monitor, they continue to look at it. There are no structural issues with it, according to somebody familiar with the latest scans of that foot. Still an issue of pain tolerance."

If Watkins does play, be weary about casually throwing him into your fantasy football lineup. The Bills travel to Foxborough Sunday for a battle against the New England Patriots.

"Rex Ryan says he "can't say" about where Sammy Watkins stands health-wise," ESPN's Mike Rodak tweeted Monday. "Bills are waiting and seeing how it goes with him."

Watkins still has the ability to put up WR1 numbers, but its safe to play him as a WR3 until he proves he can produce like he did last season.
