DENVER, Aug. 24 (UPI) -- Washington Redskins cornerback Josh Norman is setting himself up for big-time pressure to start the 2016 NFL season.

In an article for ESPN the Magazine, Norman takes shots at commissioner Roger Goodell, the NFL 'society,' and even Denver Broncos wide receiver Demaryius Thomas.

"I don't know what he was out there for," Norman said in the article, hitting newsstands Friday. "He was supposed to be an all-world guy, and I shut him down."

Thomas' Broncos beat Norman's Carolina Panthers 24-10 in the Feb. 7 matchup at Levi's Stadium. Thomas had one catch for eight yards in the victory.

Thomas responded to the jab Tuesday, when he posted a photo wearing his Super Bowl 50 ring. He wrote: "Where yours at young fella?? @J_No24."

Fox Sports signed Norman to be an NFL analyst, starting Sept. 11 this season.
