BUFFALO, N.Y., July 26 (UPI) -- Despite his personal knowledge of being one of the NFL's top cornerbacks, Stephon Gilmore still isn't paid like one.

And despite his best efforts for that dream to come true, Gilmore has decided to report to Buffalo Bills training camp and play out the final year of his four-year, $12 million contract. He will make $11 million this season before hitting free agency in 2017.

"I'm planning to go out to training camp," Gilmore told ESPN's Josina Anderson. "I know what I am. It'll happen eventually."

Last week NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported that talks "haven't progressed" between the 25-year-old defensive back and the Bills.

It appears everyone was calling Gilmore's bluff.

ABC Buffalo's Joe Buscaglia predicted the move weeks ago when he said he didn't expect Gilmore to hold out. Buffalo News' Vic Carucci reported in early July that it was "highly unlikely" for Gilmore to hold out.

"Gilmore is a good player, even on the border of being a great one, but he doesn't hold much leverage in this instance. He's signed, and the Bills are likely expecting him to be there -- with or without a new deal," Buscaglia reported.

Gilmore is said to be looking to be paid in the neighborhood of other 'elite' cornerbacks, like Washington's Josh Norman, who signed a five-year, $75 million deal this offseason. Bills training camp opens July 29.
