ATLANTA, July 26 (UPI) -- Atlanta Falcons could employ timeshare at running back Devonta Freeman warmed the hearts of fantasy football fans with a huge start in 2015 for the Atlanta Falcons.
Freeman scored nine touchdowns in the first six games of the season, but went without a rushing score for the next six games. He finished the season with 14 total scores and 1,061 rushing yards.
That inconsistency could be what led Falcons coach Dan Quinn to declare that he will use both Tevin Coleman and Freeman to carry the load.
"Dan Quinn said what's best for the team is using Devonta Freeman, Tevin Coleman in unison, although Freeman definitely can handle full load," ESPN's Vaugh McClure reported Tuesday.

Coleman, 23, averaged 4.5 yards per carry in 2015. He rushed for 392 yards and one touchdown behind Freeman.
D. Orlando Ledbetter wrote in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution that Falcons running backs coach Bobby Turner wants to decrease Freeman's carries this season.
"We want them competing," Turner told the AJC. "They are very similar. They both are competitive. They both can catch the football. They both have run instincts. When it comes down to it, the one difference is the flat out long speed of Tevin Coleman."
