COLUMBUS, Ohio, July 22 (UPI) -- One domestic violence claim, zero NFL snaps: that's not the ratio you want as an NFL rookie. Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott has allegedly denied a domestic abuse allegation coming out of Columbus.
TMZ Sports detailed a police report Friday, alleging that a 20-year-old woman filed the report with the Columbus Police Department Friday morning. In her report, she says Elliott assaulted her in a vehicle. The woman said she used to live with Elliott. When contacted by Columbus police, Elliott denied the living arrangement and the allegations.
TMZ Sports also reported that police spoke to four witnesses, including one who was in the car at the time of the alleged altercation, who said they did not see an assault.
Deadspin explained Tiffany Thompson as the woman "known to be" Elliott's girlfriend. The website also released photos from Thompson's Instagram account. The captions for the photos of bruises, claimed they were the result of domestic abuse. One of the photos was tagged with Elliott's Instagram handle.
Elliott, who turned 21-years-old Friday, has had the NFL's top selling jersey since being selected as the No. 4 pick in April's 2016 NFL Draft.
