Minnesota Vikings fill rookie's car with fruit snacks

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn., June 16 (UPI) -- NFL veterans are the gift that keeps giving when it comes to rookies.

When your 21st birthday falls during your first minicamp, you are surely a target for even more hazing. That hazing came in the form of 60,000 bags of fruit snacks Wednesday for Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Laquan Treadwell. Quarterback Teddy Bridgewater set up the prank, which culminated in teammates pouring box after box of the snacks into Treadwell's black Range Rover.

Vikings tight end Kyle Rudolph took delight in the prank, posing with Bridgewater while standing next to Treadwell's car.

"I'm going to take these and donate them to every family in America," Treadwell said in the video.

Treadwell was the No. 23 pick in the 2016 NFL Draft out of Mississippi. In college, he compiled 202 receptions for 2,393 yards, and 21 scores.

"First day he drove [his new car] to the office. Then he parked in Teddy's spot twice. And it's his birthday," Rudolph said in the Vikings video.
