CHARLOTTE, N.C., Nov. 26 (UPI) -- Carolina Panthers players have been fined by the NFL several times for wearing cleats that were against its uniform policy, but that didn't stop quarterback Cam Newton Thursday.

Newton sported customized Panthers-blue, 'dabbing' cleats in the team's 33-14 thrashing of the Dallas Cowboys.

The specially made Under Armour cleats have a photo of Newton dabbing on one side and doing his "Superman" move on the other side.

Newton has flashed his dab dance a lot this season for the 11-0 Panthers, frustrating opponents in end zones around the league, but delighting his coach and teammates.

The cleats also have the words "grateful" and "thankful" written along each toe.

Newton completed 16-of-27 passes for 183 yards, while rushing 12 times for 45 yards and a score in the victory.
