Buffalo Bills latest team to deny HBO's Hard Knocks

By Alex Butler

BUFFALO, N.Y., May 22 (UPI) -- Despite having a coach that hasn't seen a microphone he didn't like and being the subject of numerous offseason stories, the Buffalo Bills are not interested in being the subject of the next season of HBO's Hard Knocks.

ESPN's Mike Rodak tweeted that the Bills weren't interested back in March, when he said: "(Bills GM) Doug Whaley confirms that the Bills won't be doing Hard Knocks. Said it's not the (Bills owners) Pegulas' "cup of tea," nor his."

But on Friday morning, CBS, Deadspin, and ESPN Cleveland stated that the Bills, Washington Redskins and Houston Texans were the teams being considered by NFL Films.

Rodak reconfirmed the Bills original sentiment on Twitter, by tweeting: "Bills source confirms that the team is still not interested in doing Hard Knocks this summer."

The featured team will be announced in June, according to ESPN.

The Bills made news this season when defensive lineman Marcell Dareus was suspended by the NFL for Week 1 of the 2015 season due to an arrest for drug possession and when newly added running back LeSean McCoy said Philadelphia Eagles coach Chip Kelly got rid of all of the "good black players" on the team's roster.

The Houston Chronicle's John McClain said that the Texans are "the preferred team" of the three finalists.
