DENVER, Feb. 13 (UPI) -- Future Hall of Fame quarterback Peyton Manning met with Denver Broncos team president Joe Ellis on Thursday to discuss his future with the team. Ellis picked up Manning in New Orleans on owner Pat Bowlen's private jet, according to the Denver Post.
The duo later met up with general manager John Elway at the team's headquarters in Dove Valley. Manning has yet to decide if he will return to the Broncos next season.
Manning, who turns 39 in March, suffered a strained quadricep late in the first half of the Broncos' Dec. 14 game at San Diego.
Manning must undergo a physical evaluation between Feb. 23 and March 5.
In 2012, Manning signed a five-year, $96 million contract, with $18 million guaranteed, that can rise to $60 million guaranteed. Manning is due to make $19 million in 2015 and 2016 before becoming a free agent in 2017.
Manning is "training in New Orleans with intent to play in 2015," according to the New Orleans Times-Picayune. NFL.com's Gil Brandt said he is "hearing Peyton Manning almost certainly will return for 18th season."
Manning threw 39 touchdowns and 15 interceptions last season, while completing 66 percent of his 597 passes for 4727 yards. In 2013, Manning broke multiple NFL passing records with 55 touchdown tosses, 5477 yards, and 10 interceptions, while completing 68.3 percent of his 659 attempts.
