Peyton Manning reportedly training for NFL return

DENVER, Feb. 10 (UPI) -- Peyton Manning is reportedly preparing to return to the NFL and possibly to the Denver Broncos for his eighteenth season.

Manning, 39, the oldest starting quarterback in the NFL and has had multiple surgeries on his neck and has it examined every offseason to make sure it can withstand the toll of another year.

He has to have his neck evaluated as well as thigh injury that hindered his performance this past season. Manning has reportedly met with renowned fitness trainer Mackie Shilstone and is expected to start training with him.

So far Manning has refused to publicly confirm he will be returning to the NFL for the 2015 season.

Before any decision is made regarding Manning's return to the Broncos, he must undergo a physical evaluation. He will first meet with Broncos General Manager John Elway and President Joe Ellis. The examination is required to take place between Feb. 23 and March 5.
