"Had a cool 15yr run!! Traveled the world met (a lot of) cool people, some will be brothers for the rest of my life!" the 37-year-old Barnes wrote on Instagram Monday. "BUT NOW.... You telling me I can dress like this for business meetings & make more money off the court than I made ON?? & spend more time with my kids??!!Ha... MEEEEE the one that wasn't suppose to be (anything) & ended up making it!! Let's Do it! Love me or HATE ME, I DID IT MY WAY!"

Barnes owned career averages of 8.2 points, 4.6 rebounds and 1.8 assists in 929 career games over 14 NBA seasons with the Los Angeles Clippers, New York Knicks, Philadelphia 76ers, Phoenix Suns, Orlando Magic, Los Angeles Lakers, Memphis Grizzlies, Sacramento Kings and Warriors.

Barnes made plenty of noise off the court, most notably in a feud with former Los Angeles Lakers player and Knicks coach Derek Fisher, who was dating Barnes ex-wife Gloria Govan.

He also pleaded guilty to a disorderly conduct violation in New York in June to avoid criminal charges stemming from a nightclub incident.
